Character Design sketches

A few examples of my character designs for the comic I am working on. We have Mei, Luna, Maia, and Amberlin here. Mei's designs are inspired by insects, the first a Black Widow, the last a Butterfly. The fourth outfit Mei is wearing is inspired by Egyptian attire. Her character is a courtesan, so I wanted to capture that essence in her outfit while keeping it classy. Luna, is a Goddess and her designs are inspired by Korean royalty and has moon symbolism. Mei's outfit reflects her personality as she is royalty, but breaks the expectations by wearing flowy short dresses she can easily move around in. Amberlin is a soldier so her outfit is more uniform, but with feminine elements. My designs are inspired by Victorian and fantastical influences.
